Salsa Style for the 20th Annual LIFE Lady in Red Gala

December 23, 2013

This coming December marks the 20th anniversary of the annual Lady in Red Gala, an event sponsored by The Lois Pope LIFE Foundation that benefits the American Humane Association (AHA). This year, the celebration has adopted A Night in Rio as its theme. The gala will include a transformation of The Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach into a Brazilian Salsa paradise. Jay Leno, host of the Tonight Show, will lend his talent to the program. Additionally, the Palm Beach Symphony, the Sultans of Swing, and the Nova Choir, a chorus of 60 individuals, will perform a variety of Broadway hits. Attendees will wear festive attire reminiscent of Rio and dance the night away to Salsa classics.

All proceeds from the event will go to protect vulnerable and voiceless animals in Palm Beach County. One of the beneficiaries will be the Pet Mobile, which works to increase adoption rates of pets in need of a home and serves as a vital rescue service in the event of an emergency. Sponsors for the event include Braman Motorcars, Wells Fargo Advisory, Tiffany & Co., and Neydharting Moor Skin and Body Care.
